Leaders of the Democratic Party in Mukono Municipality have suspended the President General Norbert Mao, His Vice President General Fred Mukasa Mbidde and Acting Secretary General Moses Siranda for operation any party business in Mukono District.
In a press conference held today at the district party offices in Nakabago Mukono Municipality, they have come up with a resolution that Mao and his Crew should not attempt to enter Mukono until they officially write to them explaining on the charges put to party Vice chairman Buganda region also Mukono Municipality Member of parliament Hon. Betty Nambooze Bakireke.
They blame Mao of conniving with police in interrupting party gatherings and being disrespectful to the Kabaka of Buganda giving him directives to publicly apologize in a period of 48 hrs or else should be set to face the consequences.
The remarks of DP members from Mukono came after Mao on Tuesday press conference at party headquarters attacked Nambooze who is Mukono municipality member of parliament.
This is came after on Sunday police dispersed DP members who had turned in big numbers to attend a rally organized in Masaka district termed as Make DP great again in which they accused Mao to have directed police to disperse them.
During that struggle with its alleged that Nambooze was hit on head by rubber bullet which forced her to be admitted at Nsambya hospital while in poor health condition.
